Somwati Associates manufactures high-performance Ring Joint Gaskets (RTJ) engineered for demanding, high-pressure and high-temperature applications. Our gaskets are precision-machined metallic sealing rings designed to ensure perfect sealing integrity in pipeline, valve, and pressure vessel connections. Each gasket is made to strict tolerance standards, ensuring excellent performance even in corrosive and high-stress environments commonly found in oil & gas, refinery, and petrochemical plants.
Ring Joint Gaskets are used in conjunction with specialized flanges designed with precision grooves to achieve a metal-to-metal seal. Unlike soft gaskets, RTJ gaskets deform slightly under compression, creating an extremely tight and reliable seal that can withstand pressures exceeding 20,000 PSI. This makes them ideal for critical sealing points in refineries, offshore drilling rigs, and high-temperature steam systems.
Each gasket produced by Somwati Associates is made using top-quality materials such as soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel (304, 316, 321), Inconel, Monel, and Hastelloy. All gaskets are manufactured according to API 6A, ASME B16.20, and BS 1560 standards, ensuring compatibility with standard RTJ flange designs.
Available in both oval and octagonal profiles, the R-type gasket is used for pressures up to 10,000 PSI. It fits standard API and ASME flanges and offers reliable sealing in a wide range of operating conditions.
RX-Type Ring Joint Gasket:An enhanced version of the R-type, designed to improve sealing as internal pressure increases. The RX gasket is ideal for higher pressure ratings and helps maintain seal integrity during vibration or thermal cycling.
BX-Type Ring Joint Gasket:Developed for the most demanding pressure conditions (up to 20,000 PSI). BX gaskets are pressure-energized and feature metal-to-metal contact between the groove faces, preventing gasket blowout under extreme conditions.
